Malin Andersson has shared her decision not to share her newborn daughter Xaya’s face to the public.
Love Island star Malin, 29, welcomed her daughter in February this year and later delighted fans as she shared her first photo of the tot and revealed she and Jared had called their daughter Xaya.
Malin has shared glimpses of her daughter on social media, but has avoided posting photos of her daughter’s face on her Instagram page.
And now, as she opened up to her 744,000 followers on her Instagram story, mum Malin explained her reasons behind the decision.

Malin began by responding to a fan’s private message, where the fan has asked if she’d split from the father of her daughter.
Responding to one of Malin’s daily quotes, the follower wrote: “I’m getting split vibes from Your posts. If I’m wrong- I’m sorry but if it is true- you are an amazing gorgeous warrior and his loss!! xxxx”.
Malin then insisted she and Jared are still very much together as she shared the screenshot of the DM on her Instagram story and wrote on top: “Absolutely not! He’s not going anywhere” followed by a laughing face emoji.
“He is back at work however and me and Xay miss him very much during the day..
“He just doesn’t like the whole social media thing never has.
“And we have also chosen to not show our daughter’s face also” Malin penned, followed by a red heart emoji.
In a later Instagram story post, Malin explained her reasons why she and beau Jared have decided to keep their daughter’s identity private after receiving some questions from fans.
She wrote in a separate Instagram story post: “Being asked why we won’t show Xaya’s face – Reasons:
“Protecting her from negativity/trolls, Pedophiles, She has her own choice whether to be online or not when she gets to that age, She’s my precious angel, My family is to be kept private as it’s the one thing I’ve always wanted and nothing will damage that
“Social media can be toxic”, she wrote before ending the post with a series of kissing face emojis.
It comes after Malin admitted she was “struggling” shortly after welcoming her baby girl.

A few days after returning to social media following the birth of Xaya, Malin candidly admitted to “struggling”.
Writing in a short post, which she shared on her Instagram stories and opened up to her fans.
Malin penned in white writing on a black background: “Gonna take some more time away. I’m struggling” followed by a sad face emoji.
