Humane society’s weekly bingo game moves to Wynford Community Center

After finding parking spaces at the north end of the older portion of Wynford High School on Wednesday, the bingo players wandered uncertainly down the brightly lit corridor.

Students in brightly colored ’50s fashions darted across the hall, preparing for a dress rehearsal for the school’s performance of “Grease.”

But just ahead, familiar faces were waiting to welcome them to the Wynford Community Center, the new home of the Humane Society Serving Crawford County’s weekly bingo night.

The weekly bingo games are critical for her organization, Executive Director Victoria Caldwell said.

“Bingo is our largest fundraiser for the humane society; 100% of the profits from the game stay right here in Crawford County and help us continue to serve the community and be a vital part of our Crawford County area,” she said.
