– Career Management Associates promotes Ashley Adams to vice president

Michael Bumgarner

Prospect-based hemp grower Prospect Farms has announced that Michael Bumgarner you have joined as partner and chief strategy officer. Bumgarner joined the team after originally founding CBD skin care products maker Cannuka, which he launched in 2017.

Ellen Jordan

Ellen Jordan recently joined Simons & Associates Law of Scarborough as office manager. Jordan, of Yarmouth, brings extensive administrative experience in the for-profit and non-profit sectors.

Tyler Hudson

Tyler Hudson has returned to Westbrook-based credit union technology firm Synergent as vice president of software delivery. Hudson, of Springvale, has been working in financial services for over 24 years and has dedicated 20 years to advancing the credit union movement. He most recently served as senior vice president of operations and digital services at a credit union.

Bangor-based Mission Broadband has hired margaret brown as project manager. Brown, of Scarborough, joins Mission from Otelco. In her new role, Brown brings more than 27 years of experience in telecommunications to the team.

PROMOTIONS

Ashley Adams

Portland-based human resources consulting firm Career Management Associates has named Ashley Adams as his vice president. Adams joined the agency five years ago, most recently serving as director.

jamie szal

jamie szal was named a partner at Lewiston-based law firm Brann & Isaacson. Szal’s practice will continue to focus on assisting businesses in all aspects of state and local tax. She joined Brann & Isaacson in 2017, following several years at the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.

Ann Arnold

Ann Arnold has joined the board of directors of Waterville-based jewelry retailer Day’s Jewelers. Arnold is a longtime jewelry industry leader and a certified public accountant. She currently serves as chief strategy officer at Buyer’s Intelligence Group. Day’s operates stores in Maine and New Hampshire.

adam aucoin

adam aucoin has been promoted to tax principal at Portland-based accounting firm Baker Newman Noyes. Aucoin most recently worked as a senior manager in the tax department since 2018. He joined Baker in 2012, previously working for a small firm in the Bangor region.

Heather Robinson

Heather Robinson has been promoted to executive vice president, chief human resources officer, at Camden National Bank. Robinson had previously served as senior vice president since starting with the bank in 2018. Prior to joining Camden National, Robinson was senior vice president of human resources for the United States and Canada at EVO Payments International.

BOARD APPOINTMENTS

Catherine Pope was recently elected to the board of the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters. Papa joined the National Fire Adjustment Co. Inc. in 2007 and is a licensed public adjuster who specializes in residential and commercial losses. She is a fourth-generation, licensed public adjuster who advocates for home and business owners in dealing with property damage insurance claims.

louis aponte

The USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service has selected louis aponte as new district conservationist for Cumberland and York counties. Aponte most recently served as district conservationist for Oxford County. He will be based in Scarborough.

ProsperityME has appointed Lesley Ridge, community engagement manager and certified financial counselor at University Credit Union, to the organization’s volunteer marketing and development committee. Ridge joined UCU in 2011 following a long career in human resources with a large regional supermarket.

RETIREMENTS

John Diamond

John Diamond, president and CEO of the University of Maine Alumni Association, announced his plans to retire at the end of June. Diamond, of Blue Hill, started in 1989 as a faculty member in the university’s journalism department. In 1992, he was appointed UMaine’s director of public affairs. He became the UMaine System’s executive director of external affairs in 2002. In 2010, Diamond left Maine to become the University of Arkansas’ associate vice chancellor for university relations. Diamond began his tenure as the alumni association’s president in 2015.

Terrance Gray has retired from the Bath Housing Authority board after 40 years as commissioner. Gray is the authority’s longest-serving commissioner. He joined the board in 1982 and was instrumental in setting up the affiliated Bath Housing Development Corp. in 1984.
