10 convicted for 21-yr-old Dalit man’s murder in Tamil Nadu

The special court of a third additional judge T Sampathkumar, who convicted 10 of the total 17 accused, will deliver his sentence on March 8.

Assam woman who lost her son over citizenship asked to prove she’s Indian

Arjun Namasudra’s family continued to fight the case against him even after his death. Arjun was declared Indian in 2013 by the foreigners’ tribunal court-4 of Cachar district. Later his four children, wife and mother found place in the final draft of NRC.

India steps in to plug global wheat shortfall amid Ukraine crisis

The central government is asking its diplomatic missions abroad to facilitate export of some of India’s record stockpile of wheat as international prices soar, an official aware of the development said, requesting anonymity.

205 tortoises seized from a train in Bihar’s West Champaran

In an operation conducted at Narktiaganj station, 205 tortoises, kept in four pillow covers, were recovered from a toilet of Satyagrah Express on Friday.
