“Attraction Marketing” is the buzz concept and way of doing business that has taken over the network marketing industry. Wait… before you stop reading – I am going to show you how to apply this concept to any business.
So what is “Attraction Marketing”?
Essentially, it is marketing in a way that has your customers coming to you rather than you having to SELL constantly to them.
Sounds good, doesn’t it?
So how is “Attraction Marketing” achieved?
1. Lead with Value
By leading with value rather than with a sale. Find out what your customers/prospects/clients want to know most and give it to them. Alternatively, find out what their major concerns or problems are and solve them.
I believe this idea can work for any business if you truly stop and think about your business from your customer’s point of view.
Include within your marketing exactly how your product or service will solve a problem or perceived problem the customer has. It may be straightforward or you may need a serious brainstorming session to figure this out.
You may have already looked at your customer’s needs and desires during your market research stage, but it is important to continually think about the customer’s point of view. You may even want to survey your market on a regular basis.
2. Personal Relations
People have limited money these days but endless options to spend it. You need to be different from the competition – Better even. If you are leading with value it will be very easy for your customers to choose you. People love to give money to those they “know, like and trust” (that is the “Attraction Marketing” motto!).
So building rapport over time with customers and potential customers is crucial. How to do this with limited time? Most businesses these days use social media such as Facebook. I personally like the good-old email. Send them regularly with what your customer wants – information, advice, how-to-tips, specials – whatever is applicable to your business and solves the concerns of your customers.
If you use an emailing service such as aweber, GetResponse or MailChimp, you can email your whole list with one push of the button and you can even set up autoresponders (emails that are pre-set and sent at your chosen interval).
3. Using a Blog
Having a blogging style website (that is, non-static) gives you further opportunity to give your customers real value through advice, information and online shopping. Continually adding content to your website in this manner will help you to gain traffic and thus new prospects/customers via the search engines. Post on ‘how-to’ subjects in line with your industry and people will find you organically.
Will they be impressed if they find a solution to their problem through you? You betcha!
Add an ‘ethical bride’ such as free e-book on a subject they desire to opt-in to your mailing list. You can now continue the conversation via your email marketing. When they require a product or service that you sell, who do you think they will think of first?! YOU!
So, that’s “Attraction Marketing”. The best part is that all businesses can incorporate this concept whether they are a big company or a sole operator.

Great post Rachael,
A lot of online marketers and network marketers still don’t get attraction marketing. I hope they read this post because it is the only way to brand yourself as a resource instead of a reject.
Thanks for the share!
